Emulsion : When both i.e. continuous and discontinuous phases are present in a colloidal system as a liquid ,it is called emulsion. Emulsion is the one type of hydrophilic system.

Sol : A colloidal system when exhibits the property of fluid consistency is known as sol, which can be pured easily from one container to another,i.e. clay in water, emulsion like milk ,latex etc
Gel : If the system is more rigid and viscous having a semi -solid Semi solid consistency it is known as gel.
e.g : jellies. Pudding.
