Name two asexual spores found in fungi, Name two alcohol producing fungi?
(a) Arthospore:- The hyphae break up into small cells which act as spores, e.g.- in members of Actionomycetes.
(b) Chlamydospores:– The hyphal cell becomes thick walled and separates from each other. The are single celled, non motile, resting spores, e.g. Ustilago, Mucor, Fusarium etc.
Alcohol producing Fungi: Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Saccharamyces ellipsoideus.
